Dr. Ming Yang (BSc, MSc and PhD) is a Principal Consultant at NEL. He has over 26 years of work experience in the Oil and Gas industry. His main technical areas include:
- Produced water treatment and management
- Oil-in-water monitoring and measurement
- Multiphase separation
Joined NEL in 1998, since then he has established NEL as a leading organisation in knowledge transfer, testing, consultancy, Joint Industry Projects (JIPs) in produced water, oil in water measurement and multiphase separation topics.
Dr. Ming Yang has been technically responsible for some 30 international conferences on the subjects of produced water management, oil-in-water measurement and multiphase separation. He has also initiated and run 8 JIPs. He has written a book chapter on the subject of oil in produced water measurement for which he also runs a training course. He has also chaired many of NEL’s produced water related events and club meetings.
Before NEL, Ming worked at Heriot-Watt University between 1991 and 1995 and University of Manchester between 1995 and 1997.
